MCTBIO The Pierre Fauchard Academy was organized in 1936. The founders of the Academy selected the name of Pierre Fauchard in memory of the Frenchdentist who is recogniazed as the "Father of Modern Dentistry". The Dental Trade and Industry Award of Recognition may bepresented to honor an outstanding leader in the field for contributions to dentistry.
